The phenomenon of Twenty20 has taken world cricket by storm
following its introduction into the calendar in 2003 and the event provides the
opportunity to see the very best players in the world, representing their
countries and showcasing this format of the game on a global stage. The ICC
World Twenty20 England 2009 tournament will feature twenty teams competing to be
the best in World Twenty20 cricket. The current men’s champions, India, will
face tough competition from the likes of Australia, England and South Africa if
they want to retain their title in 2009.
We are able to offer official hospitality for the ICC World Twenty20 England
2009 at The Oval and Lords, with unrivalled facilities at both grounds providing
the perfect arena for entertaining guests. Combine our exceptional hospitality
with a day of action packed International cricket to ensure you and your guests
enjoy a day to remember.
Lords will play host to a series of key matches, including the opening ceremony
and the men's and women's finals. For more information regarding the ICC World
Twenty20 England 2009 at Lord's, please contact us

The Oval will also be at the heart of the action as it too hosts a number of key

at The Oval, please contact us.
The tournament format for the 2007 edition consisted of four
stages:
-
Group Stage - Four
groups of three teams (two seeds and one qualifier) with two games per team
and the top two teams qualifying for the Super 8s.
-
Super 8s - Two
four-team groups playing three games each. The make up of the groups was
pre-decided based upon all seeds qualifying; if a seed failed to qualify the
beneficiary took their allotted place in their respective group.
