Home to the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over a hundred years.

Steeped in history, this landmark arena is the largest stadium venue in Ireland. Following its redevelopment, Croke Park has capacity for 82,300 people and in 2007 over 2 million people are expected to visit the stadium.

In addition to the cream of gaelic sports players, the best of Australia's AFL talent have played here. Muhammad Ali fought here. U2 and Robbie Williams performed here. Croke Park also played host to the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2003, the first time these events were held outside the United States. In 2007 the home of Gaelic Games is hosting International Rugby and Soccer at the historic venue with fixtures from the RBS 6 Nations campaign taking place at Croke Park, along with four fixtures from the Euro 2008 Qualifying campaign.

Located within a ten minute walk from Croke Park Stadium this beautiful Georgian House, which is actually a museum of James Joyce's work, offers an atmospheric and sophisticated dining experience. At the close of the day, O'Connell Street and the city centre is only a five minute walk away.
